The hotel’s central location is perfect for accessing all of Oslo's main attractions, making transport incredibly easy. The Food is a Game-Changer While the comfort of the rooms was great, the food truly sets this hotel apart: Included Evening Meal: The complimentary light evening meal they offer is a brilliant touch. It was delicious, varied, and a wonderful perk that provided great value after a long day of sightseeing. Buffet Breakfast: This was simply out of this world! The quality and scope of the buffet were far beyond standard hotel fare. From traditional Norwegian specialities to a vast array of fresh, high-quality options, we honestly went back again and again. It was easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever experienced."

"I was cycling camping through Norway but hit a patch of terrible weather and found the nearest hotel and that turned out to be the marvelous Grand. Idk but something about this place is so compelling and downright charming. There are so many marvelous details and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel in Scandinavia. I give them ten billion stars"

"Beautiful large property and grounds. Definitely surprised to find out that it’s only accessible by ferry! No cars on the island. A beautiful shuttle drive from the ferry landing to the hotel. There is no peaceful view of the water from the hotel, as pictured. In it’s prime it was quite the destination."

"One of Classic Hotels and historic. Incredible art collection including in each room. Bath room needs updating ,,, although mostly functional. Restaurant has a pretty set menu for dinner - so may not be your cup of tea. Not the world’s most creative menu. "
