"Absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel with a great social lobby perfectly located in the heart of Akureyri. Staff was super customer focused. For us Americans they have ice in all drinks including water. Wonderful happy hour. The restaurant North which is the sister restaurant to the Michelin star Dill in Reykjavik is in this hotel, make sure to book ahead. Book a room on the back side and it is super quiet. You may want to upgrade to a suite as the rooms are retro NYC sized, but a real king not two twins. You do have a refrigerator and safe in the room so while compact it has everything. Like the La Occitane amenities and they do have hair conditioner as well. Morning breakfast is continental. Very close to the Forest Lagoon and you can walk to the church. Definitely would stay here again. "

"It’s only about 2 blocks from downtown, which is really nice! It was a very easy check in, they do need your passport number if you’re checking in, but that’s easy. The bar in the lobby is very nice great selection!"
