"We had a little family get-together of 6 at the cabin in late March and it was perfect. It is well-stocked- kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms- had all we needed and very comfortable. And we couldn't get enough of the campfire right out front, with the perfect view overlooking the pond and the forest. And the surrounding land for hiking and exploring were ideal: we loved adventuring in the woods, enjoying the creek, and hiking out to the lake. "Our experience exceeded my expectations. We chose the location for a family gathering for my mom and her two remaining siblings who are all in their eighties. The purpose of our stay was to relax and share childhood memories. The cabin was very cute and clean. In my opinion, it was nicer than the pictures. The view from the boat dock was definitely worth the hike - it was a great place to relax. There were no steps into the cabin which made it very accommodating for my relatives with challenges...

"I absolutely love the staff that I interacted with. I really need to sing the praises of Miss Susie. I came to the breakfast area and asked if they were any gluten-free options because I have celiac disease. Unfortunately, this area doesn’t really cater for people with dietary issues. Miss Susie was curious and asked questions and what protocols would need to be followed in order for me to be able to eat."

"The cabin and the property were gorgeous! Very well stocked for all of our needs(full kitchen, extra linens). We had the BEST time! The cabin is located just a short distance from the Penyrile Lake and not far from Dawson Springs(highly recommend the little bakery on the square!) and the property itself is so lovely for just sitting out on the porch and relaxing. If you’re looking for a weekend away with your family or just a couples getaway this is the perfect place. "
