"This amazing cabin more than lived up to our expectations!! My family enjoyed blueberry picking, foraging for mushrooms, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, swimming, incredible sunsets, campfires, listening to the loons and just being together in nature. Our two weeks spent at the cabin were incredible. Barbara (the owner) and Mark (the caretaker) were very attentive to all our questions. We look forward to coming back!!"

"A great place to stay with so many amenities, a high quality home on a gorgeous remote lake setting. The biggest surprise was a 1500+ pound bull moose running full speed crashing through the forest. The fall colors were just starting along with impressive sunrises. The listing should emphasize remote area with no cell phone coverage. There is wifi, but spotty...email is fine. Nice hotel in center of UMaine campus

"Rehabbed historic buildings in the center of the UMaine campus. It looks like every square inch of the building was converted to hotel space, so rooms like mine were retrofitted for hotel use. Staff at hotel were friendly and helpful. Nice amenities of small gym, cafe and a library that can be used for work, which is good because there was no desk in my room. I think the rooms vary in design, so investigate details before booking. I had a good stay and would definitely stay here again when not high season which is really expensive. "

"The house is very nice. Updated kitchen, all the bedrooms where a good size and the beds where all comfy. We had 9 adults and a dog and there was plenty of room for everyone. The view from the living room was fantastic. I would highly recommend."

Amazing girls weekend

"The place was extremely clean with plenty of supplies including lots of linens and kitchen tools. We had a rainy weekend and had to stay in a lot but it was very comfortable even with 4 women and the occasional visitors."

Beautiful Cabin and Setting, Private Yet Close to Everything

"This rustic cabin is beautiful and comfortable, with gorgeous views of the lake. It has everything you need, right down to salt and pepper, travel-size soap / shampoo etc. Lots of games and books, plus good Wifi and tv (including over the air tv and Hulu access if you have a subscription). We loved the fireplace inside and the firepit outside (you need to provide your own wood but it's for sale at multiple places nearby). It's so quiet, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere! But Otis General store is right up the road and Ellsworth is minutes away. Easy access to Acadia and other area sights. Beds are comfortable and baseboard heaters work great. We hope to visit again."
