"The ice machine wasn't working. I asked a security guy about it, and he looked at me like, “Dude, I’m security, man!” Then he just walked away huffing and puffing. The shower took about 10 minutes just to get warm—not hot, just barely warm. The bathtub worked fine, so I ended up taking baths for the entire stay. The lobby area reeks of cigarette smoke. There were also extra charges I had to pay at the hotel for…??? Maybe parking? They didn't call it parking; they just called them “fees.” Overall, average at best. Nothing to rave about."

"This property used to be the Sands Casino but it's now the J Resort and it's totally remodeled now and very nice. The check-in process is easy, the hotel is easy to manage, not too big, and it's very clean and does not smell of smoke at all. The rooms are clean and modern with good lighting in the bathrooms. The entire resort is easy to access, modern and new. There was a mini kitchen in our room however it's just a full size refrigerator, sink and counter. There is a floor to ceiling window and lovely views of the hills. We did not eat there or use the out door pool."
