"Absolutely beautiful house, great location, lovely pleasant staff delicious breakfast Stairs a little steep to the attic but all added to the experience of staying in such a beautiful stone house. We will come back here in a heartbeat although we will stay in one of the much bigger luxurious rooms below next time. "

"Nice enough staff. The pub looked like a 1970’s Benidorm recreation of a British pub with a ceiling full of beer mats. Food was ok but a little overpriced for pub grub. The outside area was filthy. The doors to the outbuildings that house the rooms were ramshackle. The rooms themselves looked like they were last decorated about 30 years ago. The TV was a 20 year old mini tv with free view that didn’t hold the signal. Neither tv or kettle had a PAT testing sticker. The bathroom was grubby...

"Staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast may have been the best hotel breakfast I've ever had - mostly due to the crispy bacon! Room was lovely and peaceful. Pool area nice, busy with lots of children at time but they do have restricted times when children are allowed in. Very minor negatives - heated towel rail in bathroom didnt work and would have been nice to get swimwear dry and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom but was easilt sorted. "

"This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!!
