"Could not recommend this hotel more! We had a week of serene relaxation. The hotel is slightly outside the nearest town and not connected by public transport but the hotel is well served by local taxi. Fabulous if you are looking for a relaxing escape! Staff were incredible - polite, friendly, helpful, diligent (the list goes on)! No ask was too big or too trivial and someone was always on hand to help out. We were slightly late in the season so the hotel was quiet (no bad thing) but still had plenty of activities on (walks and exercise classes etc.) and live music on some days with dinner. The rooms are large, clean and well serviced! The spa is phenomenal… we went almost everyday and my fiancée loved her back massage. The pool and beach equally as incredible. The beach is a 15/20 minute drive away on a shuttle service (only a couple of options but this may have been time of year) but this is comfortable and timely. Food and drink options are plentiful at seemingly all hours of the day and we very much enjoyed overindulging at the hotel restaurant. All in all, a very pleasant and enjoyable trip - would certainly return to Almar!"

The room we stayed in was gorgeous well worth the extra for a superior room and the shower was the most powerful I’ve ever used! Just needs more guests to make it a busy bustling hotel and I’m sure the next reviews will be better!"

"The photos do not do it justice, the place is beautiful, lovely grounds, large pool , sauna, steam room, outside oven and bbq. Had a lovely meal cooked by Nonna Maria and team one evening. Any issues we had were dealt with straight away, we all had a fantastic week"
