"Hotel room was nice, working the thermostat was a little difficult. The shower bath would fill up with water when showering. Plumbing is needed for bath tub."

"They started with the news that they are charging a deposit of 100.00 in case of damage or excessive cleaning at the end of my two night stay. This is new from my last stay a few weeks ago. The room looked like the floors and table tops had not been cleaned from the last occupants. The desk chair had sticky liquid on the handles so we moved it to a corner of the room. The phone didn’t work to call to the front desk so if we wanted anything we had to go to the lobby to make a request. We have stayed at this hotel several times and it seems each time gets less desirable to want to return."

"We checked in and went straight to the pool area. We absolutely loved the set up. This pool would be great for a family vacation like we did, or a friends trip. Poolside service was a plus! Our room was great as well, very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy, once we discussed it with the front desk. They were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot!"

2/10 Terrible

"Great location. Clean hotel. But unfortunately there is a lack of help and honesty. We arrived at check in. Game day so as a hotel manager you would think they would be prepared. They had 1 poor girl checking in people. The line was so long it blocked the elevators about 70 ft away. They put a $100 dollar incidentals fee on your card. And tell you it will be re-imbursed at checkout. But what we got was $276 worth of bogus charges. I had pre-paid for the hotel so no additional charges were necessary. Upon calling i was forwarded to 3 different call centers before I got any help with the charges. When I called management and asked to speak to them only then was I told it was gonna be re-imbursed. Wonder how many old people they have swindled. My dad is 70 years old and this was a special trip I payed for to surprise him. We used his card for the incidental fee of $100 which is crazy and I guess they thought he was old and wouldn’t catch it. To bad because we did like the place. Its clean and close by to the ballpark. They only had 2 handicap parking spots so my dad and I had to park way off. He doesn't walk very good. The staff is nice. Breakfast wasn't to bad either. Unfortunately they try to rob the elderly. Travelers beware!"

Origin Kansas City Riverfront, a Wyndham Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Origin hotel. We arrived a bit early and they accommodated our early check in. We stopped by the hotel bar for a pre-wedding drink and both our drinks were made perfectly by the bartender. We had a great night's sleep after the wedding. Only complaint was housekeeping started really early before 8 am on our floor so things started to get a little noisy before we intended on waking up."
