"Great Alfama apartment just off a popular thoroughfare. Amazing views, nice open floor layout with modern touches. Quiet but close to everything. Susanna and Maria communicated well and often/ as needed. As other reviews mention, it's a bit of a climb to the 4th floor. But let's be honest, if you want to stay in and explore Alfama you'll be doing a lot more climbing than 4 flights of stairs! The district and the apartment are worth every step."

"Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids 11 and 13) loved our stay here. Place was perfectly located and within walking distance to city. Loved the flea market 5 min walk away and on tue and sat's (def worth going) and loved exploring city. Apt was clean,tidy and perfect for our family. "We stayed in Alfama as a central point to tour Lisbon, Sintra, Evora, and Belem. The apartment was clean, had most of what we needed, was close to sights, and to groceries. The breezes (and fans).were enough to keep us cool at night, but things were a little snug in the bathrooms (I am 1.96 meters tall) and one of the toilet.seats was loose. "The apartment was a great layout with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on separate floors which was great. The view was wonderful of the harbour and cruise ships. However, the apartment had no air conditioning and with the windows open there was a great deal of street noise from cars and busses. Also, the area seems to be a nightlife area and there were a lot of loud drunks making noise late into the evening."

"Horrible communication, Hard to find check in location. even harder to find apartment. Dirty apartment in with lack of upkeeping with leaky shower that got all the floor wet. it seems that it has been happening for a while because all the wood surrounding the bathroom door is all swollen. the bathroom door cannot be closed. the toilet spills water everywhere when flushed, the spare bed is super noisy. What a terrible experience."

"It’s a great place to live in Lisbon to visit around :))). The place is clean and fully equipped. The view is absolutely gorgeous. We were well welcome by Tomas. "The apartment needs a coat of paint where the paint has been rubbed off on some doors and the walls in places. The bottom of the shower unit leaked causing water to go on the bathroom floor. The space around the bed in the main bedroom is rather tight and the wood frame expands into the limited space. "We arrived early but we were taken up to the apartment right away as the friendly cleaning staff were finishing up. Everything was as expected. Since we arrived from Porto by train the few minutes of walking to get here was great. Nearby grocery store and coffee shops too. What we appreciated the most was the kindness and generosity we received when we unexpectedly required an additional night. Albertino responded so quickly that the situation was not stressful at all. "Apartment is clean with lovely decor. Property owner and manager very quick and courteous with responses to any questions and freely offered great suggestions about activities to do in the city. Excellent orientation packets in apartment in multiple languages. Close to metro (though there is a hill - but that's Lisbon, hills are unavoidable). "Paulo picked us up at the train station and took us to the apartment and showed us how everything worked. The unit was perfect for our needs. There are steps into the unit but I am 76 and they were certainly doable for me. The Alfama area was great for restaurants and people watching and wondering.
