"Our family had a lovely stay here and would DEFINITELY stay here again! The location is perfect between Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Boone. The house is exactly like the photos. The view is beautiful. The owners were quickly responsive with any question i asked whether it was about groceries stores or best gem mining location. We made s'mores in their fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, played Pac-Man (which I loved so much and watching my 3 & 6 year old try it too), hiked Otter Falls which was so close to the house, and got to see deer right outside. I will definitely be booking this place next summer for another lovely vacation away from the Florida heat. "

"We enjoyed our stay and had a birthday party on Saturday PM after our trip to Tweetsie Railroad! The kitchen is well equipped and the house was neat as a pin. The Mountain Dog Coffee Shop was a real treat with a whole lot more than just coffee! We really did enjoy our stay!"

"Our family of 15 had a fabulous time at this amazing property! The home is spacious, yet cozy, and was very clean. There are multiple gathering spaces, inside and out, and several spots to enjoy alone time as well. Our favorite part of the property was the outdoor kitchen area. With a grill, counter space, refrigerator, HUGE table, and a wood fire pizza oven, what else could you want? Our hostess was quick to respond to any issues and made our stay delightful. "
"Wonderful stay! From the moment you walk into the cabin you feel very welcome and right at home! The cabin was very clean, well stocked and was our favorite cabin we have stayed in while traveling.Plentiful blankets, towels and pillows. We enjoyed the outside space tremendously! The hot tub was great for relaxing and we had a fire each night with smores. Outside space was very clean, well groomed and very inviting. The neighborhood was very quiet and provided a nice place for walking in the evenings. Fantastic stay and host! We will definitely book another stay with host!"

"Darren’s Place was perfect for our family weekend getaway. Tucked away, but still close to everything. The house was clean and had all we needed. Check in and check out was simple. Communication was fantastic. The porch (and the kitchen sink!) was the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful view of Grandfather. We are definitely coming back to Darren’s place.
