"Mosquitoes are everywhere. Its easy to get lost, but this place was a nice abode to live in for the long stay and enjoy the great north."

"We loved this cute little cabin! Really clean, orderly, and more stocked than any small cabin we've ever stayed in! Very nice small touches like coffee, waffle mix, etc showed the hosts really cared. The biggest asset is the proximity to the lake. Waking up to the lake shore waves was amazing! The only thing that people should know about is the mosquitos - which obviously has nothing to do with the cabin. It's part of the north woods experience and truly unavoidable no matter where you stay. We would LOVE to come back! Had an amazing experience!"

"My husband and I recently stayed at Gaucho Cabin for a night and it was nothing short of magical! Every detail has been thought of and we had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. I spent time reading in the loft net during a brief afternoon rain shower and it was incredibly relaxing. Later my husband and I walked through the back of the property right onto an amazing hiking trail! We cannot recommend this property enough and cannot wait to be repeat visitors!"

"Its somewhere I could definitely live. Small, cozy, rustic but modern at the same time. Would need running water, however. But for a weekend get-a-way... it was wonderful! Would def recommend."

"If you’re looking for a relaxing experience up the north shore, look no more! Truly, our family needed a place to congregate since most of us live out of state and it was very accommodating. It has all the bells and whistles in the kitchen from sharp fabulous knives to a Darth Vader toaster…lol. The enclosed porch has a game table to a sofa that faces Lake Superior. Every night we enjoyed chatting by the fire place with enough room for all 7 of us. They have views from every aspect of their adorable cabin. When I tell you we were pleasantly surprised when we entered our code to enter the “barn” looking cabin is an understatement. Decorated very lovely and so very relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and we hope to return again."

"We had a great stay on the North Shore. Close to Grand Marais, as well as the Canadian Border, so choose your own adventure. Our boys fished off the lighthouse point in GM, and we did a hike up at Grand Portage on the border. Spent tons of time on the lakefront, and watched the younger kids climb all over everything while collecting more rocks to bring home. The absolute highlight, from a Minneapolis family, was the stargazing! No Northern Lights, but wow! What an amazing view of our corner of the galaxy. We'll be back, for sure!"

"The cabin is smaller, but offers plenty of space for a couple travelling to the area! It was clean and well-stocked. The views of the forest surrounding the cabin are beautiful, and the stars were amazing on a clear night. Hearing wolves in the distance from the comfort of the cabin was exciting. The sauna was great to use after a day of hiking and exploring downtown Grand Marais. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Cozy cabin that makes for a wonderful weekend get away to the north woods. Really close the the SHT Lake Walk that was wonderful during some winter snow."

"Beautiful 20-acre Maple Forest. One of the best rustic cabins I have ever stayed in and I have traveled this area for 35+ years. Location unbelievable, good directions and description, enjoyed the sauna, view through large windows in cabin breathtaking. Only change I would make to listing: bring ice or other means to refrigerate food. listing didn't indicate this. No bathroom, outhouse only. I think listing said there is half bath."
