Kettle River Cabin nestled between the Twin Cities & Duluth, MN

"The house is easy to locate and the directions provided were accurate and easy to follow. It is away from the highway so it is quiet and there is no light pollution nor traffic. We called the host for assistance with the entry way because it seemed tricky but it suddenly worked and then we understood how it worked and had no more problems with it. The house was clean and comfortable and the bed we used was very comfortable also. The host was easy to contact and was promptly responsive. We would stay again. We did not use the kitchen although it looked very nice and seemed clean and up to date. We have family in the area and we ate with them at homes. We appreciated the opportunity to stay at this VRBO because it gave us the opportunity to visit a family member who is ill without burdening other family members with hosting us at an already difficult time."

"Heat / AC was confusing to use. Shower was nice and roomy just zero spot to place shampoo, conditioner and body wash. In & out of the shower to grab those. Plenty of space in the shower for a shelf on the back wall for that stuff. Otherwise it was a fine stay."

"The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. What we didn’t like was that the hot tub wasn’t available and the pool was cold. In fact, that whole end of the building, including the lobby was very chilly. Breakfast was mostly gluten carbs, and no fresh fruit."

"Great gathering space, we cooked, played games, watched movie.The bunk beds are best for just children, it was hard for the fifty somethings to get in and out of the low beds .We had rainy weather or we would have spent all the time on the beautiful deck ."

"The host was super friendly and helpful. The spa house which you share with all the guests does have a decent gym and the spa works great but there is no couch. The floor has multiple sink holes. Old Blue is very quaint however the bed was definitely not a true queen size as my 6‘4 husband didn’t fit. The forest surrounding the house is absolutely gorgeous and it is a quiet place to get away and very close quarters so you have lots of opportunity to connect with your partner. Also it is only an hour and twenty minute drive to Minneapolis if you want to go and do something or go out to eat because the kitchen is cute but not the most practical for doing all your cooking. We had a very pleasant stay and breakfast was very generous."

"This was an overall great experience. We stayed as a family because we wereIn town for a wedding. This home looks incredibly small from the outside compared to what the pictures show, but the pictures are very accurate. This home had space for 15 of us comfortably, and there is hangout space upstairs and downstairs for the adults and kids or just separate spaces for different groups. There’s a pool table too. The house was very clean and stocked with plenty of dishes and supplies. I had to contact the host multiple times and she was always very quick to respond. The only issues we had at all, are that there were lots of flies; completely out of the host’s control, there was a cord missing on one of the tv’s, which the host was not aware of, and the tub upstairs was draining slowly, and they now have the opportunity to take care of that. Over all we were very happy with the rental, and I would definitely stay at this property again."
