FAQ:
Is this cabin for everyone? — Not exactly… We want to be clear that this is a small cabin that was meant to be used as a rustic retreat. We know that not everyone digs an outhouse.

Is there Wifi or cell network service? — There is some cell signal however guests can use the high speed internet for wifi calling.

What is a dry cabin? — This means that though there is electricity, this cabin does not have plumbing. We provide drinking water and have rain barrels in summer months for collecting wash water.

What is your bathroom situation? — We have an outhouse just next to the cabin.

For showering, many guests us the sauna on site which is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and essential oils. Otherwise guests can consider visiting the Grand Marais Rec park for a $4 shower, Sauna at Sisu & Loli in town, or buy a $10 day-pass to the Grand Marais YMCA to take advantage of the gym, workout facility, showers, hot tub, sauna, and pool.

Do you have a coffee maker? — We have a large coffee maker upstairs and a small coffee maker downstairs as well as a pour over with filters for your use.

Do you have a grill or fire pit? — Yes, May through Oct. We have a charcoale grill. We supply the utensils, but guests will need to bring charcoal and lighter fluid. There is a fire pit. Guests are free to use fire pit year round but are responsible for snow removal to use it if they wish to do so.

How remote is the cabin? — The cabin is easily accessed just off County Rd 14 on a maintained driveway. Your views are maple forests, nature with a neighboring cabins a few hundred feet through the woods.

Its somewhere I could definitely live. Small, cozy, rustic but modern at the same time. Would need running water, however. But for a weekend get-a-way... it was wonderful! Would def recommend.

Lovely experience!
My boyfriend and I traveled up north for a weekend getaway and this was the perfect cabin for it! It was close to lots of attractions and even though there was a cabin nearby, we had so much privacy with all the trees. The cabin was very clean and welcoming, we loved the sauna! The kitchen was so cute, I loved all the vintage and antique details added inside. I’m not much of a no plumbing person but the outhouse didn’t make it feel like you were in a outhouse at all. I will absolutely stay at another Patagonia cabin again, excellent communication and a friendly inviting experience overall ☺️
