"This place was perfect. The house, interior and exterior were shiny clean. Lots of dishes, cooking supplies, towels. Very comfortable beds, nice linens. Appliances worked well plus filtered drinking water. Sea glass hunting down on h the shore during low tide, beautiful views of Blacks Harbor as ships come and go. Just lovely"

"The host made booking and planning the trip a breeze! Above and beyond with a personalized set-up when we arrived. I had inquired about a lobster pot and pets. She had all the lobster tools ready for us on the counter AND a doggy basket complete with treats! We are all astounded by the little personal touches to each room. The home had everything we needed and more! Board games in a bedroom closet, blankets in living room closet to sit by the fire. Even the bathroom had so many toiletries. We love fires so ran out the first night and when I asked where we can go buy more they restocked it for us!! My first VRBO experience will be hard to beat! Don’t forget to read and sign the guest book, and laying under the starts is a MUST! Thanks for making us feel so welcome, it was definitely hard to leave :)"

"Great exterior deck and interior updates since we last stayed 7 years ago. We enjoyed birding and whale watching from the deck during the day and evenings around the fire during our September visit (but make sure to bring your preferred bug spray)."

"Lovely little suite. Interesting property that looked pretty plain on the outside, but suprisingly had a cool gift store and a delicious restaurant all contained. The decor had a pleasant East Coast flair (we loved the Lobster Trap Chairs) and the washroom was very roomy, well stocked and clean Keyless self-checkin was easy and the property was easy to find in this quaint fishing village. We booked and enjoyed a great Whale Watch tour with Ocean Safaris only 4 minutes away. We will visit this area again and will definitely stay at the Homeport"

"Overall the house was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The house was the most well equipped home we have ever stayed in for toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies and clean towels. Our only complaint was the upstairs bathroom that has the only shower in the house. The shower is awful. Getting in and out of the clawfoot tub is tricky, no where to put soap or shampoo at all so you have to put it on the floor of the tub, the shower is super tight and you can’t even put your arms up to wash your hair without being wrapped up in shower curtain. The shower head barely works and dribbles water on you at a painfully slow rate. Then there is the sewer gas smell that just overwhelms the upstairs from the bathroom. Helps if you run the tub for a long time. Must be missing a trap under the tub or something. Zero counter space, the smallest sink ever, a toilet that you have to squeeze in between the tub and sink to get to and multiple families of spiders living amongst the exposed pipes. The floor is wrotten around the toilet and sink. This bathroom needs a full gut and remodel. We wouldn’t recommend or stay in this house again unless this bathroom was remodeled. It was miserable. "
