The municipality at the mouth of the river LAa has two small museums that tell you about fishing in Iceland, pilotage and the life of seafarers. Visit the museums and observe the fishermen's houses. Grand-fort-Philippe is a gateway near the Platier d'Oye nature reserve, a seaside resort where you can immerse yourself in unspoilt and relaxing nature. Here you can often spot seals resting in the sun. You can also visit the nearby towns of Calais and Dunkerque.
