Amazing location, beautiful property but the A/C in the 3 rooms that we had was very noisy and we reserved king beds and were queen, but the view is really beautiful and the restaurant was very nice

Honestly, recommend staying elsewhere. This place is in dire need of a renovation. Wouldn’t stay there again. Staff was nice but the rooms are two costly for what you actually get.

This place dates from 1910 or so. We got one of the old and totally refurbished rooms all done in period style. View of the canyon from the patio bar or the inside bar. You are fifteen steps from the rim railing. This is the historic hotel at the end of the rail line from Williams. Nothing better than rubbing elbows with the ghosts of America’s historical leaders and legends.

The hotel is in a magnificent location with commanding views of the Grand Canyon. The owners have failed to invest in maintaining the property, whilst enjoying the high prices people are prepared to pay for staying in such a desirable location.
The accommodation standard is that of a cheap motel you stay in as a student or out of desperation- 1950s decor with air-conditioning dated from about the same time-- so noisy, sleep was impossible. Booked for 2 nights but could only stand to stay 1 night. Was supposed to be the highlight of a 2 week holiday but was a heartbreaking disappointment.

Rooms are a little “old school” but the facility is iconic and the location, views and atmosphere are truly breathtaking.

It’s very rustic and rather expensive given that, but we were paying for the location. Dinner was excellent, and the free coffee was delicious.

Parking stunk. No parking just for the hotel. And if I’m paying $500 a night I should be guaranteed a parking spot especially when you’re handicap. -Laurie Squires
