La Mata is a great mellow town to make your home base with great restaurants and a couple markets right down the boardwalk. "The stay was very much to our satisfaction. On the good sides, perfect location. You wont get more central to Alicante than this. Apartment was clean and has plenty of room (in our case we were 3 person and occupied the bedrooms, leaving living room available for hanging out.)
