Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste – Starhotels Collezione

"We were upgraded to a family suite which was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable spacious and elegant. The whole hotel is beautiful, really central, and the staff are helpful. The only negative was that the floor of the bath was not level and it actually rose up in the middle. This wasn't much of a problem if you took a bath, but as the only shower was over the bath it was difficult to keep your footing and would be dangerous for anyone with balance problems."

"The staff was super kind and helpful. I was going to walk to get a pizza from a nearby place because the taxi cabs charge ridiculously high fares. They let me know the place was actually closed despite what it said on Google. They were nice enough to order a pizza for me (from an alternative spot) so I could eat something before calling it and early night because of a flight leaving early the next morning. The only issue I had was my mini fridge stopped working so I had warm soda in the morning. Otherwise it's great for catching early flights due to its proximity to the airport."

"Room was kinda okay. Everything worked, but a bit shabby. The location was amazing! Close to the beach and main street, with balcony overlooking the street. Absolutely fantastic location."
