"Excellent!. Perfect location "

"Kind and helpful staff; most spoke very good English. Our double room with private shower was very clean and had high ceilings with large windows that opened. A/C also worked well. The bedding was firm with extra blankets and pillows in the closet. There were enough large towels for us. A complimentary coffee, tea, cappuccino station was available all day in the breakfast room next to the 24-hour lobby desk. Breakfast options included boiled eggs in shell, meat, cheese, yogurt and toppings, assorted croissants and breads, gluten free packaged snacks, canned fruits, fresh apples, juice, and a toaster was available. Everything we tried was tasty and fresh. This hotel is in an older, well-maintained, elegant building in a busy urban area, very close to pedestrian plazas with many cafés and bars, a supermarket, a pharmacy, etc. My husband and I felt very safe in the area. We walked 10-15 minutes from the train station and 10-15 to cruise port 29. Both walks were on level stone-paved sidewalks. There's a tiny elevator for 2 people with luggage but you must walk up a half flight of stairs to access it. Overall, we highly recommend as a good value, pleasant, quality stay."

"This is a great place to use as a base as it is central and close to just about everything. The apartment was nice and big and clean. There are cooking and storage amenities and even a washing machine and theres a clothes dryer on the balcony. There is nothing by way of groceries provided, it is self catering after all, but there's a supermarket if you turn left as you exit the hotel, then turn first right and walk about 100 yards. The staff there are very nice and helpful. Turn right and then take the first right and you will find a cracking restaurant. Everything really is on the doorstep. Check in was very easy. Remember to press the button with the orange light at night to turn on the stairway lights even if you're taking the lift. Also check what plug converters you take as Italian ones are different to other European countries. I couldnt fault the hotel, their communication and help and the value for money. I would definitely stay there again. "

"Amenities not as described. No laundry and no airport shuttle. Those were the two we were concerned about as we have mobility problems and were needing laundry to wash clothes for our cruise after our stay in grado .although there also was no restaurant or room service etc .At checkout were told that room taxes were to be paid in cash. Told my husband “another surprise “. Really shame on me for not reading the fine print. But the older clerk asked what other surprises so I mentioned no laundry and no shuttle. She denied that the hotel listed those. When I showed her she retracted and said we could have put our clothes on the bed and they would have washed but not ironed them lol okay well we never asked about ironing. She then told us that she could have given us the phone number for a taxi. Viola the shuttle. Lol you know how that’s the same. 270 euros for a taxi versus shared cost of a shuttle. She (the older of the clerks) told me to go back where I came from and stay there. OMG. She was quite the treat my brother couldn’t believe it as he had come to help us get our luggage to the bus station which was 2km away He definitely felt he had dodged a bullet as he chose to stay at a different hotel for his month stay at grado. Oh yes another thing don’t think that you are allowed guests at the hotel. That story for another time"
