"It is a very nice hotel and in a very good location. The only reason they are not getting the full 5 stars are because 1. they gave my room away that I paid for in advance, I had to settle for something else that seemed comparable to the front desk guy but it really wasnt. So that already left me with a bad taste. He did give me a discount on the parking but I feel like that wasnt enough. The other reason is that the cleaning crew came in while we were out and made our beds. They threw away a bag that was meant to put my nice purse inside for protection but yet they did not throw away actual trash. Just annoying because I was planning on using that cloth bag. Other than that, the stay was perfect and our event was walking distance so it was very convenient. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location if you like to have entertainment and historic landmarks around you."

"There is construction nearby which makes getting in tricky; however a wonderful staff member Sarah walked us through turn by turn. Made the trip more enjoyable, breakfast was really good and several options, extremely close to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Once again special thanks to Sarah."

"My husband and I came to San Antonio for our Granddaughter’s birthday week. We booked another hotel, but we were very unhappy with the place. When we walked in to the Intercontinental we decided to stay there immediately. The lobby, the bar, the restaurant and rooms were sparkling. We made use of the gorgeous pool 2 days ina row and even though it was hot, the breeze was amazing as well as the water. Comfortable beds in the room. Complimentary waters every day. But the staff really set it apart! Everyone we came in contact with was so helpful and accommodating. It felt like they really cared and that is rare these days. I would 100% recommend this hotel and I now have a place to stay without disappointment to visit my granddaughter."
