"We had a little snafu with the property we were supposed to stay in. Well before we got there, the onwer got into contact with us, explained the situation, and offered a replacement property, a bigger house than we had booked. A few miles from where we had planned, but not enough to matter and more than made up by the replacement house. Very nice house ,wifi is a bit slow (its the UP, it's common), well stocked. Excellent owner, great communication. Would definitely rent from her again. "

"My family enjoyed a true home away from home experience! Cozy, comfortable bedrooms and a great layout with multiple places indoors and out for spending time together. Well though out little perks, from the delicious snacks, games, firewood, second full fridge and a large kitchen well equipped and stocked with most staples. I will be back!"

"I don’t know how the Sunshine Shack showed up in my search but, I am so glad it did. It was the perfect house for my family. Unfortunately we were not there to have fun but were bringing my mother’s ashes home. The house was clean, no smells and very roomy. My sister’s family who also rented a house but, in Engadine were not so lucky. We had no complaints for the SS and we all said we would rent it again. JMF"

"We were coming to Michigan for a graduation and added a few days on the UP to get some hiking and sightseeing in. It was hauntingly beautiful to see all the trees without their leaves and the summer cottages empty. Hiking was amazing with lots of gushing waterfalls. This place was warm, cozy, easy to get to and well stocked. The Pasties were yum too. "
