They do allow pets but they do charge about half the price of your stay on top of what you paid as a pet fee. The staff is really rude the food is not good and if you stay for an extended time they still don't offer clean towels or room cleaning so be prepared to buy your own cleaning supplies and do your own laundry. The location is pretty nice though.

Dirty and wear down

The glory days of this hotel is long gone. It’s old wear down and simply dirty. The location is nice but the owners don’t realize the potential. It may be cheap but not worth it Hopefully they restore this hotel and some day it will be worth the trip . Because the surroundings are beautiful

Worst hotel in Sweden

Our room was horrible. It was filthy, with visible dirt on almost every surface. The beds were miserable and small with flat pillows. It smelled strongly of musty sour mold. The bathroom was full of mold and dirt and we found silverfish living in there, too. The rest of the hotel was like this too. Dark, dirty, sour smelling. The breakfast was stale and cold and poor quality. It was like they'd just set out yesterday's uneaten breakfast. The coffee was undrinkable––watery and very bitter. They host loud parties in the restaurant area and don't clean up until the morning, so we ate breakfast with the rave lights still on in morning. What put us off the most was how we were treated by the staff. Reception was seemingly never open, with a cage pulled down over it our entire stay. There was a woman working there who treated us poorly on the handful of times we talked to her. I asked her for extra pillows and she flat-out said "no" citing that I "already have two" and then that there is a "pillow shortage." A pillow shortage? At a hotel? And then at checkout, nobody could find her. Reception was gated shut. Everyone just slid their key cards under the cage pulled over the reception desk. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at in Sweden. We came to visit my mom, who grew up here. Apparently Fars Hatt was very fancy in the 60s through the 80s. Not anymore, it seems. Camping outside in a tent or staying in a hostel next to a snoring old man would have been a nicer experience.

The hotel was very run down, but the staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was a bit on the short side. I got the feeling that the property had new owners and maybe there will be a renovation in the future. I really hope so because the location of the hotel is really nice.

Duger för övernattning.

Rymde från ett hus fyllt av ungdomar och behövde en övernattning. Det fick jag men inte mer. Hotellet har haft sina glansdagar och det märks: Droppande dusch, vägguttag som är löst, gammal inredning men nya sängar och bra sängkläder. Torftig frukost.

Ärligt gammalt hotel. Otroligt prisvärt och trevlig personal och rena, bra städade rum. Ok, gammaldags men charm i det med och otroligt prisvärt...samt trevligt att det fanns en kvällsöppen bar och vacker omgivning

Receptionen och bardelen var i gott skick. Men resten var ju ingen större hit. Rummet var väldigt slitet även korridoren. Käkade buffén (taco) gör man själv mkt godare. En mkt enkel fukost, inte värt att nämna som hotellfrukosten.

Det bemötande jag fått och har, är unikt i Sverige. Fars hatt. Är ett gemytligt hotell tii ett mycket bra pris. Personal, rummet perfekt ALLT, fick till o med en blomma på kudden. Folk som klagar på detta, kan åka till New York o jämföra. Önskar personalen all lycka o framgång. Mvh Bengt
