"Convenient late check-in. Nice room, excellent breakfast with friendly staff. My only 'complaint' was not with the hotel but the exhorbitant cost of the taxi from the airport. The staff told me about the local bus in the morning as it was impossible to get a taxi or uber."

The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). "It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."

"The propert was lovely, our room was modern and up to date. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and clean! The bathroom was so lovely and clean. I loved that you didnt have to go through the pub to get to the rooms although there was a walkway into the pub at the bottom of the steps if you wished too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. "

"Perfect Pub stay. Walking distance to train with only one stop to airport. Stansted is lovely historic town. Bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Staff were lovely. My only critique is cereal was offered in the room, but not enough milk packets to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again. "

"A really welcoming group of people and a quick check in. Typical character building with wonky creaky floors but loads of charm. A bit cold in the room at first but soon warmed up with the heater. Lovely amenities and a great bathroom too. Good pub food for dinner, breakfast was OK (hard boiled poached eggs will always get a point deducted I’m afraid). Will definitely stay again though."
