"The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the family suite allowed us to stay together. However, the staff was not flexible about our advance request to exclude pork and pork derived ingredients from breakfast and dinner because we did not reply to their follow up email that we never received. Our original request was clear but no alternative was offered upon arrival. The spa massages were underwhelming, and the private onsen could accommodate only two people despite the suite being designed for approximately four guests. Given the cost of over $1,000 for one night, excluding the spa, we questioned the value."
