A blast from the past!

The building was very stately and clean. It had artifacts from past times and each room had a story. The breakfasts were gourmet level. The host Rob and his wife were friendly and attentive but allowed lots of "alone time" also. A real hidden gem.

Beautiful historic home.

Very nice B&B for the price. Lovely grounds. The only problem was there was no thermostat in our room. The heater was blazing in our room, so we had to open the bedroom & bathroom windows & turn on the ceiling fan. It was 45 degrees outside, but we were sweating unless we opened the windows.

Wonderful 1912 mansion. I loved the history of the f the home. It was beautifully restored. The gardens were amazing. The innkeeper was a great host and the breakfast was fabulous

The facility is phenomenal, but some TLC is needed for repairs and outside cleanliness. Overall a great stay. Superb breakfast.

Dream of a place!

What an amazing B&B. I was in town for business and it was such a treat to get to stay at such an amazing place. Vintage, luxurious, comfortable, delicious food, accommodating, just wonderful. This will be my accommodations from now on when visiting Gonzales.

Beautiful home and grounds. Friendly and courteous staff. Breakfast was fantastic. Bedroom furnishings and wallpapers were tired and worn, as was some of the furniture. Too cluttered also. Dead and live roaches were encountered. Battery in the TV remote was corroded, so we never were able to use the TV and DVD player.

The overall presentation was disappointing based on what we were expecting from the website and reviews. The logistics of the site did not help either. The outside of the building could use a good cleaning which is your first impression. The interior had a musty odor. This could have been a wonderful experience of the past.

We felt like we stepped back in time in this wonderful restored home! Everything was exactly what we expected and wanted. The large pool was awesome. The breakfast was delicious. We felt welcome and valued as a guest. We will be back to experience this home again.
