Invest in an underwater camera if you are going to Belize. Being able to capture the experience on camera will be well worth the effort of investing in the camera.

We just did regular snorkeling because we didn't want to pay extra for an air tank. If you are a strong swimmer or can hold your breath for a while this is fine. I was at the bottom the whole time with the turtles, sharks and fish snapping my camera and coming up for air when I needed it. It was a workout haha.
