"We knew in advance that the hotel was under heavy renovation/construction, but this did not detract much from the stay. The worse (?) was that the panorama of the Eiger N wall from the balcony was somewhat marred by a construction crane (see photo) - not a big deal. We found room to park at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. The room is nicely furnished. One small fault: not enough power outlets around and just one USB outlet. And confusing light switches that operate on a delay and take time to master. The price is high, but so are most prices in Grindelwald"

"Grinderwald is such an amazing place. You haven’t visited Switzerland until you’ve been to the Berner Oberland region! Location of hotel is adjacent to train station and the primary local bus stop is across the street. Hotel is a little older than others but it’s very clean, updates are being done and its views of the Eiger are outstanding!!! Staff service and continental breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our nights here. The only down side was the size of the room. 2 adults with 2 large suitcases would be crunch time! We had 2 carry-ons and could feel tight. But like mentioned, the balcony views are incredible!!!!"

"Fabulous hotel and location in Grindelwald. Our room had a balcony looking out onto the mountains Breakfast was great, lovely touches like free coffee and cake in the afternoons and the mini bar being free of charge and topped up daily "

"Place is fantastic with good view .. although it’s quite uphill walk it is accessible to everything . Location is great ! No air conditioning for summertime is quite cumbersome , although you can open window and provide you with a fan ."
