"I found privacy to be an issue. Blind didn't cover window properly and door was frosted glass but no curtain. People walking past could see in. Couldn't watch TV as there was no internet connection and TV was wifi only."

"Elk at falls creek was an amazing stay. The in house restaurant Sorella had amazing food and service was fast. The menu choice I felt was a bit limited, however of the choices , all was cooked exceptionally well and all were tasty. I liked that the property has a separate entrance to use after being out on the slopes as well as the area for taking off boots was plenty and close to my room. It was a nice touch to have a separate area for relaxing away from the main dinning area. Our host Jake was fantastic, before arriving communication was fast and he was a really nice person to chat too. In fact all the dinning and bar staff were welcoming and nice to chat with. Staying in one if the smaller rooms was comfortable. The bed was pretty comfortable, it was a nice touch having a smaller heating cupboard in my room as having a nice toasty jacket in the morning was a bonus. The bathroom was great too , a tad small to be expected although i had no complaints. The heated bath rack was great. The walk down to the slopes was easy enough, a little harder on the way back up the hill, but there was a shuttle bus which was all too easy. Ski hire was near by and the team down there were fantastic. The highlight and main reason for booking with elk was the location and the hot tubs which were a very big plus afterwards. Thankyou all so much for an excellent stay. "

"beautful house, great location, clean and as decribed. can't fault. if i had to offer anything constructive (but it didn't diminish from the stay) was the stove angle (leaning toward the back) made it difficult to cook eggs for instance as it pooled into the back end of the pan.also, the bbq wasn't looking great. wanted to use it but seemed very rusted on and even when i heated and cleaned, was looking little suspect. maybe get the hot plate seasoned again."

"We had 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. We had a lovely time. Most of the group was skiing but some stayed home to enjoy dinner plain walks and relaxing at the house. The place was well stocked, the linen and towels were clean with a lot of extra blankets if cold. We cooked every day and well stocked with kitchen utensils etc Very responsive with queries. "

"We really enjoyed staying here. Once we got sorted with best way to get to tracks & back, which if frosty drop is closed is a bus ride into town, it was much better! Made the mistake of skiing back from big D with small children, which was a bit exhausting! Great facilities, with washing machine and dryer and the boot and drying room were perfection! Host was great, and we had a fab stay!"
