"An amazing stay in a small town. Half a mile from beach, eateries, ice cream…you can walk everywhere. This location was 10 minutes from the Sleeping Bear Dunes Dune Climb and Sc panic drive overlook. Great experience all around!!"

"Sylvan Inn was an AMAZING stay! Beck was a gracious, kind, and extremely helpful host. Breakfasts were delicious and tried to meet dietary needs (exchanged eggs for yogurt, added eggs when more protein was needed, etc.). The room was delightful- clean and so cozy. Tea, water, and coffee were available. Great location- within eye sight of several good restaurants and ice cream, walking distance from beach access, and minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes. Overall a wonderful stay!"

"Guests need to be made fully aware that check-in to this hotel is fully online only. There is no hotel lobby with staff to work with. In addition, guests need to pay attention when checking in that there is a refundable $250 damage deposit, or a $36 non-refundable fee. I believe the $36 non-refundable fee is the default. The noise from rooms above is very audible, especially when guests are walking around. While it is stated on the description of the hotel that there is no on-site parking, this adds to the cost of already pricey stay. In addition, whether a guest finds metered parking, a parking garage, or the rare street parking, the walk to the hotel will be several blocks. The plus is the location."

"We enjoyed our weekend in Glen Arbor. Beautiful view from an elevated condo. There’s definitely a lot of steps up and down, so you will get your exercise staying here. You get both unit 25 & 26. We had an issue checking in as the key did not work in the lock. Housekeeping showed up 20 minutes later to let us in and told us to just keep the place unlocked, which wasn’t a big deal to us, but might be for others. Owner should really invest in an electronic keypad for the door. The unit does not include access to The Homestead pool. You can get to the beach by walking through Sundance. There’s a small grocery store with incredible pizza and fresh coffee every morning within The Homestead property. There is no A/C, which we knew before renting. Keeping door walls and windows open creates a great cross breeze. Also, there are no ceiling fans, even though it’s listed in the description. There are plenty of other fans in every room. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would return."

"I’ve been coming to this resort and staying in condos here in and off for 40 years… Unfortunately, we had to sweep the floor when we arrived as it was sandy. Water pressure is great. Location and view are very nice. Also because I’m used to coming to this resort, I’m used to a washer and dryer in every unit and I packed thinking there was a washer and dryer in this unit not realizing it’s not listed as one of the amenities. So realize or know that there is no washer and dryer if you book this unit, which wasn’t very helpful when we had rain and had to pack wet clothes. The proximity to the beach is great. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Great experience with VRBO the unit was clean and spacious with a excellent view. The Hosts were very easy to deal with re check in and communication. We had no issues. Great time was had by all!"
