Weekend getaway

Had a great time visiting Hawks Nest 58 on a weekend trip to see the sleeping bear dunes. It was a little chilly outside at night, which made the indoor woodburning fireplace amazing. Great price and great stay.

The view from the condo was beautiful, overlooking the Manitou Islands. The wood-burning woodstove made a very cozy atmosphere on a cool rainy day.

Spectacular Views

Wonderful views of Lake Michigan; would have preferred greater beach access. The condo was pretty clean-dirty carpet leading up to loft. Really needs updates-flooring, kitchen counters/tops, same with bathrooms.

5 star condo with a 4 star owner

The condo itself is amazing. The bed was the WORST I have slept on in my entire life and we are people with a teacher budget. It is clear that the owner is content with making money and not putting any money back into the condo for its guest. The carpet, couch, chairs, tvs all need replaced and updated.

All Rooms With a View!

Beautiful view visible from all rooms in this comfortable townhouse. The unit is well outfitted with kitchen items and bathrooms have complimentary hair products, soaps and tissues. Lots of windows that open and provide nice air flow and soothing sounds of breaking waves at night to lull you to sleep. Great location and lovely complex. Only creative criticism would be that the unit needs some updating-stained carpeting and over used towels. Stairs are quite steep and may not be suitable for very young children and older adults. Due to the open construction, privacy may also be an issue for more than one couple.

Total relaxation

Great sunsets seen from screened porch. Unique shops and eateries in Glen Arbor, with no national brands and expensive, limited on property shops and food. No washer or dryer in unit. We spent 1.5 hours getting into the unit as lock-box not functional.

The view from the Hawk Nest is incredible. Nice screened in porch. The room could use some upgrades on the TV, internet and CD player. The bed could also be upgraded to a higher quality, it was very hard. Upon arrival the room needed to be cleaned. The stove top was dirty and so was the coffee pot., dirty ledges and tables, but with that said someone was sent to give everything a good cleaning. I plan on coming back next year, if you are looking for a quiet get away, this is it.

Relaxing getaway

The view was amazing! We went during the fall so all of the leaves were turning and the water was calming. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the furniture needs updated. My husband and I couldn't sleep in the bed together. because it was super uncomfortable and the couch was worse. Other than that I loved where we stayed. Also if you plan on going to dinner time it well everything in town closes early. We were able to make it in to whiskers our last night but they had a wedding party there which is fine but it was super loud and my husband and I just ate and people watched since we couldnt hear eachother talk.

furnishings were so,so. the owner is due for an investment cycle.. one strip light broken light bulbs out, doors on cabinets loose. couch and carpet are not pretty. and some window operators are broken still livable. petty but annoying. the location makes up for the bs.. but the byo hold bring your own . a good chair omelet pan and of course a can opener.

The condo was beat up. The dirt and stains on the carpeting looked like a crime scene. Mold on the shower curtain. Closet upstairs full of blankets etc just thrown in. No room for anything else. We left on Thursday instead of Sunday. Not a comfortable stay at all.
