"The hotel is old, rooms are old, however, it was very, very quiet, safe and clean. The breakfast was excellent, very hearty with lots of variety. A great place to stay right outside of Freiburg with easy driving access to the old city. We would stay here again."

"Great hotel, dinner and breakfast was fantastic with lots of options and variety. Enjoyed the sauna. Staff were lovely. Only negative would be the very flat pillows."

"Clean property. Sauna was amazing - would have been better if there was a shower just outside just to cool down. Provided with us a card which allowed us to visit numbers of place free of cost - saved used around $$$. Issue checking in due to iPad not working (as no front desk available). The booking said they provide with a card which allows us to travel for free on local transport - never got it."

"Toffe verblijfplaats in een heel gezellig en typisch Zwarte Wouddorp. De uitbaters zijn heel behulpzaam. De kamer heel groot, met twee slaapkamers en een grote living. Parking naast de deur. Ideale plek voor een verblijf van enkele dagen. Op korte afstand van de Titisee, de Feldberg, etc."

"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "
