"The hotel is welcoming, up to date and clean. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage since our rooms were not yet ready, and head into Bilbao for the afternoon. The day of our departure we stored our bags again since we had a late flight. There is a nice restaurant on site, and a shuttle bus to the airport. It’s not fancy but a good option for travelers who need to be near the airport. "

"We stayed in a two room cluster flat with an en suite each and adjoining kitchenette - perfect for a weekend get away. Clean and tidy, quite new and equipped with comfy bedding and towels. The en suite was perfectly clean and the shower was great, lots of hot water and good pressure. The kitchenette was handy and equipped with some basic essentials like cups and crockery and cutlery and a fridge & microwave (in lieu of a kettle to heat water). The staff were there 24/7 and always helpful and friendly. The accommodation is student halls so expect a little bit of activity on the weekend but it was nothing rowdy or inappropriate. The general feel of the place was safe and clean. The area is a hilly residential area with a big supermarket and a strip of bars / cafes nearby and most importantly a good bus service and metro service to the old town - two stops or ten mins. Otherwise a leisurely stroll through the local town centre down the hill into the old town. Perfect. Safe and quiet neighbourhood with lots of locals nearby and all the essentials. Couldn’t fault the place. Well recommended and very budget friendly. We didn’t use any of the communal facilities but having a canteen / vending machine and outside space was handy if needed. Don’t worry about some of the dubious reviews re cleanliness and facilities - perhaps they got the place after a busy period or on a bad day because I could not find a single thing wrong with the place! Highly recommended!"

"I have no idea why this place has mixed reviews - I thought it was excellent. Location was amazing - right in the town centre - the room was bright and clean and actually really nice- of course there was a buzz and hubbub from the street below but it didn't go in ridiculously late or detract from a good night's sleep, the beds and pillow were comfy, everything was fine. In addition, the hostel has a fast lift, the auto check-in works like a dream; the price was good (around 60€ for 2 pax) and messages were generally answered quickly via the Hotels app. It would perhaps be useful to be told that luggage sent ahead will be left on the 2nd floor terrace near the reception desk - we had a brief panic on arrival, not having had that info, but a WhatsApp message sorted things out within a few minutes. There is a launderette directly opposite the hostel (think it said it closes at 8.30pm). "

"The room had two bedrooms and four beds for two of us. Super spacious (more space than we expected) and comfortable. The bathroom had a newly renovated, modern look and felt pleasant. We had a good night sleep and quite pleased with our stay. "
