Gisenyi is very nice place to visit. Volcano mountains are really beautiful and amazing hot spring in lake Kivu.

"The Serena Hotel in Lake Kivu was lovely. We had a great room with a lake view. Since we traveled with a guide we did not use any of the extra guest services but we did take a boat ride out to the Nyamyumbo hot springs which was quite an experience. The opposite of a hotel spa! 25 years too late.
"The hotel has seen better days. The rooms were very rundown, the linens were threadbare and the beds were broken. The staff was friendly, but o would recommend looking somewhere else, especially for that price."

It was a calm place, but it was sad that we can’t go in the water for swimming. There was also allot of rubisch. What the beach don’t make clean.
