In the background is the only remnants of the Ardstinchair Castle remaining to this day. Ardstinchar Castle is a late medieval castle in the west coast of Ayrshire at the mouth of the River Stinchar. It was built by Hugh Kennedy of Ardstinchar in the mid-15th century. In the 1770s, the castle was demolished and the stone was used to build a bridge. In the middle is a war memorial.

"Great site in a great location"

"We had booked the Argyll Spa 2, but on arrival was informed it had a leak that needed fixed so we were upgraded to a pond view lodge so I can only comment on that. It was brilliant. Huge front decking area. Comfortable living area. Big kitchen. Dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer etc. good sized bedrooms. A real home from home"

"We enjoyed our break here, the caravan was clean and comfortable with everything we needed and a shower with fantastic water pressure! We appreciated Julia meeting us on arrival and the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits that were left for us. The views over the loch and the surrounding countryside were stunning. We were fortunate to enjoy some sunny weather and spent time exploring the surrounding area, taking a walk around one of the lochs and relaxing on the decking."

"Herons rest was amazing the view out onto the river is beautiful and the hot tub was incredible. To Movie nights and get then us getting kicked out the euros we had great fun ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ It was so peaceful and quiet at the same time it almost felt like there was no one else around, we canâ€™t wait to come back here. The hosts are lovely and really just leave you to it! ðŸ˜"
