"The house is well proportioned, bright, airy and light. The pool is amazing, super clean and a very good size. The pool is set in an amazing garden. So the view from the balcony above is amazing, with the further view over the hills and forests below the property. Throughly enjoyed our stay and both at the house and Sarlat and the surrounding area."

"A lovely property in our favourite part of France. Everything was just as listed on the website. Lots of homely touches added, fresh flowers, wine and biscuits. Close by to Beynac, La Rocque, Sarlat & Domme. We loved it. Only downside is the amount of electricity that the sauna uses. We used it once and it just tipped us over our electricity allowance!!"

"We’ve just spent a lovely week at this house. Had everything we needed for our family of 2 adults and 2 children age 9 and 10. The location is perfect. House and garden are very private not overlooked with beautiful views. Nearest 2 villages with bakeries, shops and restaurants are 5 and 8 minute drives away. La roque-gageac is just 15 minutes drive away where we spent a great day hiring kayaks on the river. There’s lots to do in the area."

"We booked this property as a girl holiday getaway for my 40th birthday celebrations. Overall we had a nice stay and found the location great to be able to visit some really stunning towns and villages nearby including Dome, Rocamadour and also had the opportunity to do cannoing in the Dordogne river as it’s such a great spot for it. In terms of the house itself, it had the main things we wanted but I wish the outside area by the pool would have had more greenery or at least a bit of grass....

"Nous avons passé quinze jours magnifiques dans cette maison agréable et propre entourée par son jardin qui offre plein de petits coins ombrés. La piscine était impeccable à notre arrivée et demande un peu d'entretien, mais absolument pas trop ! Elle nous a parfaitement rafraîchis pendant les jours où les températures montaient... Fabienne nous a très bien accueilli. Son mari et lui ont été très serviables et gentils. Un logement à recommander !"

"Bon séjour, bonne communication avec le propriétaire des lieux, maison spacieuse pour 11 personnes ! Manque de propreté en général ! Araignées...fourmis...protéges matelas et oreillers douteux ! Dysfonctionnement des deux chasses d eau ! Malgré ce manque de propreté , la maison est adaptée pour un séjour famille ou amis au calme dans un environnement agréable ! Le plus ...un barbecue !"

A mix of modern and traditional French building. Very friendly and helpful owners, who live adjacent to the property but keep to themselves, although they only speak and email in French. Note the property is 2.5km outside Cales, the nearest boulangerie is 7km away in the next village and supermarket 25km away in...

"This is a good property in the heart of the historic district of Sarlat. We had great support from Valentin and Clois when we were there. The room was in the attic with a small kitchenette, which we used for breakfast 2 of the days that we were there. We needed a property with a garage and booked one with them. What we did not realize that this was a several minute walk from the property itself. There also was no convenient place to bring up the car to unload luggage since there was a fair going...

"Overall experience of the property: - Owners friendly, with a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival - Fantastic pool and a lovely garden - Superb location to visit all of the key areas / sights within the Dordogne Few points to note: - The stairs in the property are very steep, therefore, not suitable for young children or the elderly - The wifi didn't work very well and was intermittent - not a deal breaker but useful to have - Very hot upstairs as no fans or a/c - again not a deal breaker...
