Hotels near Gilching-Argelsried S-Bahn

"We picked this place to be close to a railway station for access to Munich and area. A ticket purchased here for 9.60E gave unlimited travel with all public transport. This was great. The hotels receptionist was fabulous giving us a lot of help in this travelling information. The hotel had easy car parking, good access to the room, lovely breakfast choices. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however we found the restaurant next door very poorly run, after waiting almost 1 hour for the first course and another 1 and quarter hours for main courses. The restaurant across the road was vey friendly, better choices of meals and certainly more efficient, The railway station was only 7 minutes walk down the road and trains appeared half hourly. The town was nice, but not touristy. Good place. "

"This was a fantastic flat to stay in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there were all the kitchen equipment to make a wonderful dinner. The owners were very helpful in answering all questions. It was a great location to easily get into Munich for the day, nice and quiet, and made it an easy getaway to the south to continue on our journey. Only slight issue was the skylight over the bed. It was great other than the sun coming in nice and early. It would only be bothersome for light sleepers."

"I went with a friend for Oktoberfest in Munich but didn’t want to pay city prices; so that’s how we chose this. Pros: Price. Very quiet. The woman who checked us in was lovely. Lovely neighborhood. The restaurant right down the road (Swagatram, I think) was delicious. Bus stop right out front. Very clean. Cons: Check in time (4pm-6pm) is a bit inconvenient. Check out is at 10am. WiFi essentially nonexistent, cell signal spotty. Wish it were slightly closer to either Olching or Furstenfeldbruck. I’d stay there again. "
