The house ist beautiful, decorated with great taste and high quality, the view is simply amazing and the location could not be more excellent and peaceful. We loved the beach club just a short walk from the house, the hotel with its excellent drinks and food a mere 3 minutes walk from the house. Mariolina, the homeowner, is most welcoming, very responsive and attended to...

Beautiful views from the terrace facing onto the sunset every evening! The pool and beach facilities at the hotel were also great, for both us and our kids (age 11 and 8). "We stayed in this villa for 14 nights. For the first 3 days we had huge issues with the electrical system, which is very old. This caused frequent an lengthy outages, which means no air conditioning or electrical fans…The villa is nice but it has not been renovated, and it is basically falling into pieces, which is a shame given the nice location."

"The property itself is beautiful and provides expensive views of the sea. However, within five minutes of our arrival, we were asked if we needed towels )um, yes?). We were then charged 10 euro for a few threadbare towels. The screens were taped together and ineffective against mosquitoes. We were told not to drink the tapwater at the cottage and not even one small bottle of water was provided to hold us over until we could get back to town. Cottage needs maintenance and minimal stocking."

"gut, wenn auch für Hundespaziergänge wenig geeignet. Bettwäsche müsste mit Duvets ergänzt werden. Kochgeschirr erneuert werden. Alles vorhanden, von Waschmaschine über Haarfön bis Toaster."

Die Wohung war dank Fliegengittern an allen Türen und vielen Fenstern stechmückenfrei, die Küche war gut ausgestattet und der Garten drum herum bot viele Möglichkeiten zum Spielen für die Kinder. Eine ganze Kiste voll Spielzeug und die Tischtennisplatte ließen keine Langeweile aufkommen. Die Vermieterin wohnt im Haus und ist sehr hilfsbereit. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es jede Menge Ausflugsziele, die auch in einem Ordner mit allen Flyern und Telefonnummern...

"Lovely rustic escape on the beautiful island of Monte Argentario. House was clean and well equipped, and hosts Carmela and Pier were so warm and helpful with ideas of where to visit and which restaurants to try, as well as local info on the beaches and property. Good base to explore the island, and the local beach is only a 5-10 minute walk and not crowded. We had many playful cat visitors in the gardens as well as lizards and a tortoise, and saw wild boar across the island, so definitely a nature lovers choice. Very relaxing week and could not ask for better hosts for our stay here!Note to the road-nervous - the road to Porto Ercole is unpaved and in poor repair, a hard impractical drive even in an SUV. Nearest shops etc and access around the island is through Porto Santo Stefano 30 mins away so plan your visit with that in mind and be sure to get directions for your first arrival!"

"Nice lodge (superior), air con was nice. Beds basic but fine, shower ok. Beach sunbeds were expensive (£260 for 4 sunbeds for 6 days) but nice enough beach and had to go there because the pool has some crazy ridiculous rule about wearing a silly rubber hat in the pool when it’s 33 degrees. They are not worried about all the children weeing in the pool but if a hair were to fall out! It’s obviously a ploy to divert people away from the pool area and onto the beach which you have to pay for so that is annoying, but all in all a nice basic campsite with ‘ok’ lodges. It is in the middle of nowhere though so once your in, your in! "
