Charming villa with pool, blossoming garden & view

Villa Due Leoni is a charming villa on two floors with private pool and garden situated on a lemon estate halfway Catania and Taormina and at only 1 km from the sea and the village of Riposto, where you can find fresh fish every day.

The garden has been transformed into a real paradise with palm trees, perfect lawns and an orchard with all kind of fruit trees. From the terrace and the pool (10 x 10 meters, 140 cm deep) you can enjoy a stunning view on the coast and on Mount Etna, often puffing. The pool is open all year round.

HH, Norway, October 2016: "This villa is truly on top of what we have experienced so far. Idyllically located in lemon plantation, Mt. Etna towering to the west and the Mediterranean sea to the east. The unspoilt village Riposto within easy reach by foot with several restaurants and local shops. Within short driving distances you even reach some of the most "necessary" attractions."

Villa Due Leoni consists of:

- Ground floor: a huge living space with dining table, sofa bed, lounge and fireplace, separate kitchen and toilet. From the living and the kitchen you can access the garden.

- First floor: three double bedrooms, a large corridor / bedroom with two bunk beds (four sleeps), two full bathrooms, and a huge terrace with view of the Etna and the sea. Stairs connects the terrace to the garden below. The terrace has a veranda with a big dining table.

All in all, Villa due Leoni is a peaceful and authentic Sicilian villa, ideal for friends and family who wish to explore the Eastern side of Sicily.

Please note that a caretaker lives in a separate part of the property and completely respects the privacy of the guests.

Imagine waking up in the middle of the garden of Eden. The localisation of the property is very strategic if you want to visit great beaches, Taormina and the surrounding cities. The villa has a rustic charm and the outdoor patio area was a great space for all the family and the kids loved all the fruit trees. Really helpful that the pool and steps are gated off to keep safe for the children. Giovanni was super helpful and easy to contact. Great time had by all :-)

The villa is excellent and in a great location for many places in the East coast of Sicily. Being surrounded by Lemon groves and beautiful gardens was also brilliant! The pool and outside area are fantastic and the whole place is very spacious. Communication was easy and very responsive. Would love to visit again in future!

We had the most amazing time staying at this fantastic villa. Mr & Mrs Foti and family were warm, welcoming and kind, nothing was too much trouble. They even provided the most delicious home made wine and fresh fruit and vegetables. The pool was a real highlight and the villa itself was beautiful. Would definitely return.

Thank you for a great stay! The terrace and pool were amazing. As was the hospitality, with several kind free gifts, fresh vegetables from the farmer, nice organic white wine, plumbs and lemons. We had some great excursions to mount Etna, Taormina, Alcantara and some nice dinners in the neighborhood. Thanks again!!!

Unique family-owned Lemon Orchard Farm opened to us with all its charming objects, painting, china and wonderful terrace with 360-degree view on beautiful garden, lemon trees, sea and the Etna volcano. Perfect for a relaxing winter vacation: we enjoyed the Sicilian sun during the day, the cozy fireplaces in late afternoon and tons of freshly squeezed lemon, orange and grapefruit juice all week long.

The house, the location and the whole atmosphere are a dream. Unfortunately, we were only there for a week and would have liked to stay longer. The house has so many beautiful corners that you can't choose where you would like to be :) The pool and the outdoor kitchen are an absolute highlight. We are already looking forward to coming back!

It was a beautiful house to spend 6 days with out family. Its importavgift to have car so you can go on trips from the house. The outside kitchen and the pool was amazing! The only thing that can be better is if they had lite more instruments for the kitchen. Other wise a great house and garden!

What a beautiful place! We were two families with 5 children 8-14 years old, and it was just perfect all over. Really an oasis, very lush and extremely well kept gardens with lots of flowers, impressive lemon orchard and just so very tranquil. Impressive house as well with lots of history and rustic charm. Very comfortable! The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and really wanted to make us feel at home. Lovely, clean pool and great views. We highly recommend this place!

If you want to relax by the pool to the sound of running water, while enjoying the view of Mount Etna, in a wonderful and huge villa that caters for everything you can possibly need, with wonderful hosts Mr Foti and family who couldn't have been more helpful or kind or generous .... then this is the place for you! Wonderful location, safe and quiet and tranquil in the lemon groves, ideal location very near to the shops, sea front, harbour ....just lovely. Can heartily recommend booking to stay here, we will be back for sure.

The house was more rustic than expected, and it would have been nice to know a caretaker liver on site. Not a problem, but it would have been nice to know. View of Mt. Etna was stunning, and the pool was maintained well. Surrounding area was a bit intimidating, and the entrance gates took some work. But overall, a nice place and very attentive hosts.

The owners of the house are very friendly, lovely and helpful people. Since the estate is a bit outside of Riposto, we met them in the city centre. Inspite of the fact that we were late, the check-in was without any problem. The house is big, we had a very comfortable stay (it was 6 of us plus 2 small children). The view of the Etna from the pool is faboulus. The beach is close, you need to have a car though. The owners regularily checked out if it is everything OK, it was very kind of them that they cared. I can recommend this apartment, altogether we spent there a lovely week.

We had a great stay at the Due Leone house and would happily come back again. We were two families staying with five kids aged 2-7 y/o. We had no issues in this regard. The place felt very safe for kids. The pool, for example, can be locked. The location is good. Riposto - the nearby small town - has what you need in terms of groceries, food market, ice cream, etc. It’sa very short drive. Otherwise Mount Etna, Siracusa, Noto are all a distance that can be done as a daytrip. The house is beautiful and surrounded by a big lemon grove. The furniture and beds are not luxurious but were definitely acceptable. We didn’t miss anything. The hosts were so kind and responsive. We HIGHLY recommend this place.

The exterior of the house is beautiful, with a nice garden with fresh fruits and vegetables. Lovely view to Etna and the ocean. The pool and outdor area is also really nice. But the indoor areas unfortunately didn´t quite live up to our expectations. There are two kitchens in the house, one on each floor. It was most convinient to use the one upstairs as this has directly access to the terrasse. But this kitchen was not well equipped so we ended up carrying all the dirty dishes to the kitchen downstairs where the dishwasher was placed. There are two bathrooms, but one of them is useless. There was a musty smell, and the shower was, sorry to say, quite disgusting. We ended up using just one of the bathrooms, and that can be crowdy for a party of 9... The beds that are not placed in one of the three bedrooms are bunkbeds that are located in the hallway. It is possible to close some doors, but you have to walk through the hallway to get to the bedrooms. The people sleeping in the bunkbeds will therefore have limited privacy. A walk to the city of Riposto to have dinner is lovely, is is so close by that you do not need to use your car. We recommend to have your dessert at the little booth at the town square, try their granita, it is amazing. We also recommend to have a guided tour to Etna, that was one of the highlights of our stay. All in all a very nice stay, but be aware of the drawbacks of the interior in the house.

When I saw the pictures of the Villa Due Leoni I had no idea it was not going to do this justice. Pippo & Maria Grazie met us in town to take us to the villa . We followed them though a narrow path leading up to this amazing villa hidden among the lemon orchards . The villa was spacious , clean , fully furnished with all the amenities. The pool was right out of a Roman bath with its running water pump keeping it clear and the sun giving it warmth . My 3 weeks here with family & friends was so much fun . This villa had 3 kitchens , the favorite was outside by the pool with a picturesque view of Mt Etna in one direction & the Mediterranean in the other. A few nights Pippo told us where to buy the coal for barbecuing ribs outside . Pippo & Maria Grazie were such great host . Pippo came with large bottles of wine from a local vineyard. It was really good ! Because of the large amount of friends Maria Grazie made sure we had enough towels & sheets . I was awoken in the morning with sounds of the roosters and the sun coming though the curtains . It was so peaceful I just wanted to get up and seize the day . Everyone who came was as amazed by the beauty as we were . Even the gardener Johnny came by with fresh eggs , zucchini, tomatoes & basil with made a wonderful caprise salad . We swam everyday, enjoyed sitting in all the quant areas throughout the yard . The saddest thing was the day we had to give back the keys knowing our stay at the Villa Leoni was over . If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with a view and large enough for a group of 12-14. Don’t pass up your stay here with Pippo & Maria Grazie Foti as the hostess with the mostess!
