"Hotel Monte Carlo staff went above and beyond . They were gracious , informative , and made sure every need was taken care of . We loved our apartment with a beautiful view of the canal and gondolas . They were great about arranging us transportation both from the airport and also to the port in Chioggia. Again, couldn’t be happier with our experience ."

"We had the top level- P- of this hotel for our honeymoon. The room was a bit smaller than expected/anticipated from what the Expedia pictures had shown. However, we had two terraces on either side of our room which allowed plenty of fresh air and light. One terrace was private and the other one was for use by other hotel stayers. All the amenities were up to date. Our bathroom had included a bidet. We had a vessel style sink which I personally enjoy. The location is great, it's near great restaurants. We enjoyed going to Al Gabbiano."

"This hotel is a great location for visiting Venice. It’s located right on the water at the public boat dock which makes it super convenient for accessing Venice and the airport. The hotel is incredibly clean and has a charming decor. Some of the rooms have views that overlook the lagoon and St. Mark’s Square. The breakfast is also fresh with scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetable medley, cold cuts, cheese, and lots of pastries. The only knock against the place is that the rooms are very small, but well maintained. Overall, a good stay. "

"Contacted the hotel 4 wks & then again 2 wks in advance about our reservation - they never got back to us. Arrived & they were going to rent us the room, despite it being nearly midnight (but before their deadline to checkin). We paid an additional $125 & they rented it to us. Got bite 10 times by a Mediterranean recluse spider (venomous). Would never stay here again, at $500/a night it was terrible."

"Shared bathroom. Poor communications on some form necessary for Venice. Getting key with no recepcionist a worry until arrival. Poor ‘provided breakfast’"

"First of all, it’s an old building and that’s expected from Venice, but the furniture and carpet inside the rooms really need to change. There was some amount of dust which questions whether rooms are properly vacuumed. The bedsheets are clean but I noticed 5 insect bites on my right upper leg in the morning. I know what a mosquito bite looks like so this was not it. The rooms are not sound proof - I could clearly hear the guests in the other room talking. Breakfast was ok."
