The room was clean and the A/C worked great! Staff made check-in easy and there was plenty of parking. The only downside was that the pool was not open but they did have an open pool at their other motel which was close by

This place is no-frills for sure, but it does offer the best stay for the price. The room provided everything we needed. The bathroom appeared to be recently renovated with a really good shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is ideal.

The Colton Motel is in a good location near downtown; so, within walking distance to historic attractions and restaurants. A/C worked great, especially with the recent heatwave; parking is adequate as well. Also, there is a great breakfast restaurant next door! Bedding was clean, however, the motel is in need of repairs, upgrades and better amenities, as follows: - Still using old style metal room keys. - Bathroom window was in disrepair and has an airgap to the outside; allowing dirt to accumulate on the windowsill and floor. Also, the doorknob in the bathroom was malfunctioning, and very difficult to open from inside. Sink and bathtub drains partially blocked; water backing up in them, need to take a plunger to them. - Amenities: TV worked well, but no coffeemaker in room, no microwave, no clock, and electrical outlet plug on desk and lamp were loose or no power. - Room next door appeared to have live-in tenants who chain smoked in front of our room, so smoke drifting through gap in bottom of our door. Also saw a few cockroaches crawling around the room. Recommend owners/management make basic repairs and upgrades as noted above; would stay again if made.
