"The hotel is very quaint and the hostess was very nice. The room was great we were on the third floor so going up and down the stairs was hard on my pregnant wife but once up there we had a view to one of the towers from the room. There is no ac so if it is hot during your stay that is something to consider. We had the window open all night and it was perfect temperature. Would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to the altstadt. "

"Very good. Beautiful old building. Very quiet. Rooms clean. We had a balcony which was great, like being in a castle. The beds are comfortable if not high quality. Walk into town is ideal. Lots of steps but one you have done those, you are there! Free parking which was beneficial to us. If following sat nav, look out for sign on sharp corner which states hotel entrance. Hotel entrance is hidden and it’s a narrow private road into grounds. Breakfast sufficient. Great find! "

"Nice big rooms. Stayed in room 121 which was bright and airy and modern compared to other rooms and had a large bath tub with shower within the tub. It also had a nice view over a pedestrian route and lovely old world charm buildings. Ala carte continental breakfast had variety with cheese, tomatoes, cured meats, yoghurt, cooked eggs, pancakes, some fruit etc. Assistance with luggage provided up the stairs when checking in. Great location within old town. Short 3 minute walk to main square and tourist information office. 15 minute walk to train station. "

"My daughter and I were very grateful for our time at Pension Elke. After an extremely challenging travel day, it was dead of night yet we were welcomed kindly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed fresh air from open windows, the toll of the tower bell, plenty of natural light, and a garden view. Flowers from the garden lined the entrance stairs full of summer scents. Our hosts offered a big beautiful breakfast spread which we enjoyed by a window looking out over the town. The location was perfect-we enjoyed touring Rothenburg with ease. When it came time to say good bye, check out was swift without issue. Our host was very kind and helpful during our stay. Highly recommend "
