Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Location is perfect and right in the middle of George Town. Local Penang food and tourist attractions areas are within walking distance. The free CAT buses for hoping around in George Town are very useful.
Well maintained hotel at the heart of GeorgeTown.
Excellent location for connectivity to the mainland, via the ferries’ jetty, very close to historical sites (eg the Khoo Kongsi), local eateries and to the lively night scene.
Staff are friendly and helpful (special shout out to Nick and Eline). The night staff during my stay could smile more or just offer a warm greeting.
Breakfast menu is fair and could be improved with more items l(eg coffee in a pot) plus tastier cereal and sausages.
Room amenities are reasonably complete only ergonomics could be slightly improved (eg more flat space to put stuff, localised electrical plug for the kettle and a movable shower head to prevent water splashing onto the wooden door. However I am very pleased there is an in-room safety box and an air conditioner that could be turned off completely when the room gets too cold.
The price is reasonable for a boutique hotel,
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would strongly recommend the hotel to local and international guests.
This hotel is in the best location for exploring the old city of George Town. Close to lots of restaurants and sites.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Pros: The location and the historical building are great, the reception is very helpful and amazing! Our room to the inner courtyard was very pleasant.
Cons: The towels didn't seem to be fresh.
The mosque prayer nearby wakes up every morning.
The breakfast is one of the worst I had: limited selection of plain rice, pasta, sausage, fried eggs, bread and jam, a fruit type that gets eaten by others fast. Dirty cups, coffee terrible, staff hardly understands English.
The hotel manager is incredibly charming and goes out of her way to make sure that we have a great experience. The rooms are compact, with a very comfortable bed.
the staff was very kind and the room is clean enaugh, very quiet. I enjoyed staying, thank you.

Not so much a boutique hotel as a better-than-average cheapie. Many rooms are windowless (not unusual for Malaysia) and the place is basically a reasonably well kept low-rise guesthouse, part of the multi-year gentrifaction of central George Town. Good in terms of nearby eating options and walkability.
The lady at the front desk is very helpful and knows her job very well but not the guy when i checked in who was rude and won't even listen and look at me.
my room has no window, breakfast is not up to standard, coffee very thin. no slippers, no small tower.
3 reception very helpful and cheerful, even help me to pay the daily car parking app of Penang.
no big problem in parking the car. small car though.
