"Great place to stay, right in the heart of Edinburgh. We liked having a basic kitchen. A toaster in the kitchen would be an improvement, as we had to toast over the stove. There was some water damage in the bathroom and the towel rack didn’t work. More hooks in the bathroom and in the apartment would have been wonderful. Nonetheless, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it!"

"We were in a private superior double bed room on the fourth floor for five days. Unfortunately, the elevator only went to the third floor, but staff were very helpful getting our luggage to the room. The room is kinda small for two people with a lot of luggage. The bathroom shower was awesome! There was limited housekeeping and had to be requested. Clean towels and coffee pods ran out after the third day but after requesting more, they were delivered. The bar and dining area were nice. The menu was limited, but there are so many wonderful restaurants nearby to satisfy dining expectations! Bella Italia was a wonderful option."

"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."

"Overall our stay was excellent, most of the staff were generally friendly and polite. We had a problem with the bed and reported it before leaving for the day and it was repaired by the time we returned in the evening. There was a large breakfast selection and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was fine."
