This was a quaintly decorated inferno. As the pictures show, this attic apartment is decorated very prettily. However, the air conditioning system was a big failure. The contraption in the living room never got below 30 degrees C. Every 45 minutes, the machine would beep and it was necessary to empty the water. The proprietress, Lucia, came over and showed me how to do this. When she showed me, I assumed (incorrectly) that it would be the one time. However, it was every 45 minutes. You have to stick a frying pan under the valve and open it. Then, quickly close it before it overflows in the pan. (Only a shallow pan will fit underneath the valve.) Then, repeat 2 times until the contraption is empty of water. Put it back on and repeat 45 minutes later. The machine in the bedroom did not have to be empty of water, but the design is......less than intelligent; the tube to the air contraption goes through the window, WHICH REMAINS OPEN, so air escapes. It cools the room pretty well, but then, you are awakened a) by the noise of the people on the street at 4:30 a.m. or b) by the sunrise at 5:45 a.m. If you decide to rent this apartment, bring earplugs, a sleeping mask, and an oxygen tank; the air was so heavy and thick that it was difficult to breathe. (I will add pictures later after I figure out how to upload them from my phone.)
