"This owner went above and beyond to help us get to the Gasthaus/hotel by providing transportation because we ran out of fuel with no stations open then had their restaurant fix us a couple sandwiches and brought them to our room. "What I especially liked was the ability to park on the property, with is in an outlying village of the Strasbourg metropolitan area, and bus it into the city - there's a regular service, takes half an hour, cost €2.50. It's a unique sort of property, an enclosed series of buildings, half-timbered in style, repurposed to local uses and tourism. Kitchen has all necessary items except for a coffee maker even though there are demitasse cups in the cabinet, there is no way to prepare espresso if you did not bring your own maker.
