"We were not disappointed when arriving at the villa. The property is amazing - spacious and beautifully decorated. As a multi-generational family of 9, we had all we could possibly need. Space, great weather - the grandchildren fully enjoyed the pool, wonderful walks and the most breathtaking and stunning views. When not in the water, the children spent their time vulture spotting. Mark is a superb host and helped us source medical care for a family emergency. He responded quickly to emails and was only a phone call away if needed. We certainly all fell in love with the village and I would highly recommend a stay there."

The kitchen has a lot of the basics many other properties do not have - spices, oils, teas, tinfoil, etc., which we appreciated. Be prepared for several flights of stairs - good exercise after eating out in the lovely restaurants! We would definitely visit again."

"We recently completed a 1 month stay at La Posada Romana (month of September 2023) as part of a 4 ½ month retirement celebration trip in Europe and Spain. I have wanted to spend an extended visit in Andalucia for many years and spent over 2 years searching the best place to stay in the Ronda Sierra once I decided this was the area I wanted to stay in. I tried to read and research all I could to gain an understanding for the area and which place to rent. For this reason I will spend time on this review in hopes that it might help others. In my search for places to rent I kept coming back to thinking Posada Romana was the right place for us even though originally I was just hunting for a place for my husband and myself. I am so happy I made the choice. La Posada Romana was perfect for our visit in this area although a little different than what I originally envisions our month to be. We were just the 2 of us for about 2/3 of the month and then had friends and family visiting for the last part of our visit. I originally imagined going into Gaucin everyday and becoming part of the town life when not going on day side trips. In the end, the house and location were so beautiful and tranquil that I really had limited desire to leave the property. I loved spending time starting at morning coffee till midnight dinners on the terrazzo with views constantly changing in the light and really always staying cool (there are ceiling fans) in September all day.
