Huckleberry Summit · Luxury mountain cabin with panoramic view, 3 bed, 4 bath, Sleeps 10

If you are looking for an escape to the mountains that the whole family can enjoy, then look no further. Huckleberry Summit can sleep up to ten people, and from its decks, you’ll have spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The amenities include an outdoor hot tub, an indoor jetted tub, and a full-size pool table.

Spread out over three floors, Huckleberry Summit has flexible sleeping arrangements that can accommodate a large family, several smaller families, or a group of friends with ease. The loft hosts a spacious sleeping area furnished with the comfort of a king-size bed as well as a charming nook with a daybed that converts into a twin with a trundle so that two people can sleep there. The loft has its own full bathroom too, complete with a claw-foot tub.

The other two bedrooms are downstairs. One room is large enough to accommodate both a queen-size bed and a pair of bunk beds. While this room could also sleep a family of four, you might want to allow the kids to make this their dorm. It offers plenty of storage, a TV, and more than enough room for all their toys and games. Every night will be a slumber party in here!

The second downstairs bedroom is a full-on suite, complete with a private bathroom that includes a Jacuzzi/shower combo. After a day on the slopes or the hiking trails, you’ll relish a long, restorative soak. Afterward, you can climb into the queen-size bed and watch TV, or head outside for a romantic nightcap under the stars: This bedroom, as well as the other downstairs bedroom, opens directly onto the lower deck. The downstairs has another full bathroom too, plus there’s a half-bath on the main level.

Huckleberry Summit's great room really is worthy of the name. This expansive space features a cathedral ceiling and a double-height wall of windows that let you admire the mountains even as you’re relaxing on the sofa, dining at the table, or cooking in the kitchen. You might think it difficult to take your gaze away from the stunning vista—which could be a problem while you’re shooting pool at the full-size billiard table!

The great room’s amply cushioned couches face a stone-surround fireplace, where you’ll want to linger on chilly winter nights, whether or not you’re watching a movie or game on the flat-screen TV mounted above it. You can also bask in the warmth of the fireplace—or the breeze from the ceiling fan—while enjoying a meal at the dining table, which seats eight. Need more room? The nearby breakfast bar seats another four.

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and loads of counter space. There’s a large gas grill on the deck too (mmm, barbecue!). Also on the deck: a spacious hot tub. Soaking among its steamy bubbles while relishing the mountain view is simply magical; so is luxuriating in the tub under a canopy of stars.

When you stay at Huckleberry Summit, you’ll have access to the community’s outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. And of course, there are the myriad attractions of Gatlinburg practically at your doorstep. Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area is only five minutes away; in fact, you can see its slopes from the cabin. Drive a few minutes more, and you can be at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Museum, an aquarium, mini golf, and so much more.

Huckleberry Summit really does provide natural beauty, unbeatable convenience, and luxuries large and small.

Such a beautiful rental. We were 2 families and the layout of this home was perfect for us. No complaints about the property. The road was steep but not too bad.

It was a good place to stay. Everything was in good working order from what we could tell. Could use some updates. We stayed 5 nights. We should have stayed 2-3 days only because of kids.

Only concern believe the balcony is a little unstable, railing by hot tub only connected at top and may not have enough support for hot tub. Everything else was great!

The balcony view of the Smokey mountains is amazing!!! Loved the cabin! However the cabin needs little maintenance on some minor things. Other then that I would definitely be returning to this cabin in the near future.

We had 5 adults, 4 children. The whole family enjoyed having a bathroom in each bedroom. It gave privacy to everyone. Grands throughly enjoyed playing pool with Gramps in the evening after our outings in the Smokey National Park.

Nice cabin with beautiful views. We really enjoyed our stay, but i wouldn't use this cabin with small children - the stairs and floors were a little creaky and hard to sneak away when trying to get small kids to go to sleep - ha! But still great cabin with great views!

We had a group of 11 adults and this was all our first time in Gatlinburg. The location of this place was perfect - on top of the mountain with spectacular views but close enough to downtown and hiking too. The hosts were helpful and all the amenities were available (i.e. plenty of pots and pans, tp, trash bags, coffee pot, cutting board, dishes, etc.). And we all had plenty of space to sleep. Highly recommend!

The property was great. Definitely avoid getting there after dark if you’re going in winter because the driveway is extremely steep and was completely iced over when we went. Even with 4WD it was difficult to get up the road. The actual cabin was super nice and cozy, and the hot tub was amazing! I just wish they had stocked the kitchen with some basic spices and oil and such to cook with.

The views are amazing. The cabin is a little run down compared to others in this location. The deck has loose floorboards and a spindle that is just hanging which could be scary for someone with very little children. The mattress on the pull-out sofa left a lot to be desired so we just slept on the couch.

Housekeeping (not worth the 450) look liked floor swept up against walls and not into dust pans. Toilets downstairs were yuck!Living room ceiling (that was 30 feet up) FELL two feet from my husband. High “wind” storm with some rains. Under the deck door and left wall, water was running under with both, sometimes gushing jn. Then from there the water leaked down into the bottom bedrooms- rugs soaked (clothes and duffle bag was soaked). Couldn’t sleep on either queen bed downstairs because the beds were soaked either on one side of the bed or the entire head side of the bed. Lighting is poor in living room and dining room (that was off the ceiling fan) after it fell, we could not use the table at night to eat or play cards bc it was very dark- the one lamp on that floor helped none. .Understanding that things can happen out of our control but this the responses I received “thanks for bringing that to our attention” (no concern, no worry, no care) It’s obvious this cabin has none or very little maintenance. Dishwasher detergent door didn’t open during wash (detergent was still in there after wash). Washing machine was ok but the dryer is not going at fully capacity or is just old. Regular load of clothes took an hour and forty minutes to dry. We’ve always overlooked small things that may be disappointing but this effected our ENTIRE stay. We were even thinking of staying another night but when more stuff was happening, just couldn’t do it.

The view of the mountains is definitely the star of the property. The layout of the cabin was good but different from what the picture implied. There is wear and tear that needs to be addressed and the refrigerator needs to be replaced as it did not function properly. The bedrooms were well suited for our needs and each room had it’s own bathroom which was wonderful. Although we had to travel a bit to get to the pools, each of the facilities we had access to were wonderful and very accommodating.

Okay, once up the mountain you'll be more comfortable with the drive. Lots of bears....we saw bears everyday. One momma was outside the cabin with 3 one-year old cubs. She and I met face-to-face at the front door...I was excited and scared at the same time. I learned to look out before charging out the front door. The place is a little dated, but quite comfortable. Bed was good...blankets and bedding could be a little nicer. All-in-all...fantastic stay.

The property was not like the picture. There is work that needs to be done to the property. Like nails sticking up on the deck, stuffing coming out of the couch, sagging mattress.

Our overall stay was fine, but the property wasn't easy to get to and if you're skittish about narrow mountain roads - this is not the place for you. Also the sleeping arrangements are misleading claims to sleep 12 but 6-8 better be young kids or small adults. In addition, there is only one 3 person couch to sit on in the great room, so if you have more than a few adults you need to bring your own chairs or sit at the kitchen table. Recommend they ditch the pool table and get some more seating

We were unable to stay at the property. The floors had been sealed On Monday before we arrived on Wednesday. The fumes of the sealer made my wife have an asthma like attack within minutes and gave her and the remainder of the group headaches. We were advised by a friend who is a hazmat trained professional to leave the cabin as soon as possible. We contacted the owners and were offered a refund or transfer of our reservation to another cabin. We accepted the other cabin but felt unsafe trying to drive down the narrow winding mountain roads at night, so we spent one night there with the deck door open to allow the cabin to air out. We moved to the other cabin the next morning.
