"Breakfast was fantastic. Friendly breakfast staff, lots of options, good hours for breakfast. Room could have been a bit cleaner. Fridge had a spill in it and some crumbs from food. Couch cushions also were dirty. Had something white spilled on them. Noticable that they had not cleaned the cushions at all. Pull out couch mattress was just springs. We had to call and try to get blankets to put on it because it was SO thin. Staff was nice. "

"I don't want to knock them down too low, because some of this was preventable if I had asked for more information, but I do want to let you know why I was frustrated during my stay. Pros: We didn't make it before the office closed, but they were proactive sending a text with all the needed access codes. Everything was clean. Frustrations: 1.  The heater was set to 76, but I didn't realize I had to actually turn it on.  I FROZE with just the thin blanket and had to figure out how to get the heater going in the middle of the night.  2. I assumed that a camping trailer would have a rudimentary kitchen with a two-burner stove.  I planned to make rice for dinner at the trailer during my stay, but couldn't do so without a hot plate of some sort.  If I had known, I would have brought my camp stove and used it at the picnic table.  The bathroom was very spacious, and they may have cut essentials out of the kitchen for it.  Given that there are separate shower facilities but no communal kitchen, this seems like the wrong choice for the space available in the trailer. 3.  The GFCI outlets in the kitchen didn't work, but I didn't realize that when I went to bed.  Because of this, my phone (with my wake-up alarm) died overnight and we woke up late for the event we were attending."

"I have been traveling to Grand Junction for several years for work. This hotel is the absolute best hotel in the area. It's very difficult to find a hotel that gives you a feeling of being at home. This hotel does that and more. I highly recommend Hotel Melrose. "

"This log cabin was truly luxurious. Well appointed, comfortable, exceptionally clean. We enjoyed having a bit of space from the downtown area loved the sweeping vistas and the unparalleled view of the night sky unmarred by light pollution. ."

"The details on the property indicated that the pool was closed, but that the hot tub was open. That was not true, the hot tub was closed as well. I would not have booked my stay at this hotel if I would’ve known that the hot tub was not open. I Messaged Expedia for a credit towards my next stay for my inconvenience and have not gotten a response"

"The views are stunning, the grounds are well -maintained. The hot tub was in good order and large, the kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were modern and operating well.However, the bathrooms and Bedrooms were dusty, the carpet had areas that needed better vacuuming throughout the home. The bathrooms were outdated (I suppose that's why there were no photos of the bathrooms.) The bathroom in the Primary bedroom does not have a shower or a shower curtain to contain any water from splashing out. The owners took 3 days to respond to my first inquiry, and did not respond to my second message until the VRBO representative left messages for them. The living room area was spacious with comfortable furnishings, but the beds were hard."
