"We visited 3 VRBOs while in Costa Rica. This was the best of the 3. Very nice accomodation; quiet, private, well appointed. Samara is a relaxing, easy going town with a fantastic beach and easy drive from Liberia. Alex and Carol were very helpful in preparing us for our trip (first time in Costa Rica), Leonie, the property manager, took care of any concerns immediatly. Wish we would have stayed longer."

"This house is absolutely perfect for big families. Everyone has their private space while also having large common areas to share with each other. The “casita” is a plus of this rental. An independent 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment ideal for teenagers or a couple with kids. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach (about 200 yds) and great amenities (kayak, paddle board, boogie boards, bikes, board games, and more!) Definitely coming back. "This home is wonderful, with lots of room to spread out and beautiful outdoor spaces that look out onto a forested valley. Veranda is perfect for spying on birds, monkeys, and iguanas through binoculars. The location worked well. "The pictures on line are older, and do not reflect present conditions. We enjoyed our stay, great location. BUT, the place badly needs to be updated and is not well maintained. Just a lot of little things. The biggest problem was that the host was not truthful when asked about the hot tub. I specifically asked if it was working (because of earlier reviews) and was told it was working, it was not, probably has not worked in awhile, the pump motor is buried in sand. "My family and I truly enjoyed this house. It is a bit of a trek up into the woods but so worth it. The house is very clean and fairly well appointed. It was very easy to communicate with the manager with regards to getting in and settled as well as recommendations in the area. "We were a group of 4 adults and 3 kids the house was bigger than our needs and easily catered for much bigger groups. For us it was perfect. Check in was simple and easy communication with host. We had a issue with the pool and the problem was solved the same day and the host responded immediately. "Would have received 5 stars except the check in process. We arrived in town using the provided pin drop and address with gate codes. Nothing matched. We asked locals for directions and were told no such address. Drove up and down the Hwy for 3.5 hours until after dark. Called, text, and emailed the host with no response. "This house is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. Marbella is a pretty town with a small market but not many places to eat. We loved the Tiki Hut which is a short drive, on isolated and black sand Marbella Beach! The bedrooms are air conditioned and the open air house has constant breezes. Unfortunately there was a problem with the water heater and oven during our stay but we spent a lot of time in the pool having fun. "Truly a fantastic property. Definitely rent both casitas if you can but even if you share, the garden and pool area is divine. Monkeys, birds, iguanas…and the pool is perfect. The casitas has everything you need, perfect for 2 people. Nice linens and towels and the AC worked perfectly. The lockbox code number was incorrect but the host contacted me within 20 minutes or so. I would definitely stay here again, being sure I had family or friends in the other house."
