"All the 5* reviews don't do this Gite justice, it's so much better!The house, gardens and pool are an absolute delight. My wife and I stayed late May with my two kids (8 and 11) and my in-laws (70's) and everyone had a lovely stay.The house has everything you need, with plenty of space. Air-con was very much needed during the heatwave of our week and the electric shutters in the bedrooms kept the place cool. The outside is the real gem though, so much bigger than the pictures. Pool area is huge and so many seats and pool beds. The pool is heated and half shallow, half deep so great for the whole family to enjoy. There's an outdoor dining area and BBQ which was lovely plus so many game options - badminton, boules, football, rugby - easy to play in the acres of gardens. So many plants and beautifully manicured, there's even a cherry tree which timing was just right for fruit picking every morning. Location is spot on - you're 10-15 mins away from everything, countless Boulangeries, butchers, supermarkets and bergerac - a little further you've got beautiful market towns to enjoy too. And with the free bikes available to use there's even a bakery about 15-20 mins away through countryside lanes.Serge and Beatrice we're lovely hosts - available if needed, but left us to our own devices. The wine. homemade cake and handpicked cherries were a delight to arrive to.Thanks for a lovely stay, couldn't recommend more."

"The proprietors are superb. The property has been extensively upgraded to a superb standard. The pool is perfect for relaxing around as is the number of chairs and tables undercover. BBQ if you wish. The mature trees are so colourful. In 7 years of travel around France this has to be our number one pick. "

"Very well furnished, tastefully decorated and well maintained/equipped. Off the beaten track, so tranquil but Bergerac is only minutes away. Frank is super helpful but not obtrusive even though the chateau is just next door. The mini bar is inspirational!"

"Absolutely superb to sum it up. We were there in a heatwave (4 days of 42 degrees) so Xavier brought extra fans and was always on hand to help. 9 adults. 1 teenager, 2 kids and a baby…. All were pleased with their stay! We used the air con unit from the top floor to keep the middle floor cool each night. The pool is awesome and one of the biggest we remember in a rental. 14m long so big enough for those keen to swim! The BBQ area was used a few times, disappointingly the previous guests hadn’t cleared up everywhere (cupboards) which is just frustrating as it then looks bad on the host. There is so much room in the property and everything is provided. Even if there’s something wrong, Xavier responds immediately. WiFi was great everywhere although it did drop out after we had a storm and a power cut so easily fixed. Definitely would benefit from further air con units, especially in warm weather. And be prepared (especially when hot) for flies! The games room was great and kids and adults a like used it a lot. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. 5 mins from a local supermarket or 15 mins from Lidl and a large Hypermarche. Loved the huge fridge with the auto ice maker and the 2nd fridge which was always well stocked with bubbles and beer! Amazing place! Highly recommend and highly recommend host! "
